Pharmacy Services: Pemba Mini Hospital maintains a pharmacy, dispensary and bulk store, to ensure the availability of essential medications prescribed to patients. Our pharmacy technologists play a crucial role in medication management and patient education.

Mortuary Services: We have a fully functional mortuary to provide dignified post-mortem care,

supporting grieving families during difficult times.

Pregnant Mothers Waiting House: Recognizing the unique needs of expectant mothers, we

provide a dedicated waiting house to ensure a safe and supportive environment for pregnant

women awaiting hospital delivery.

Catering Services: Recognizing the importance of proper nutrition in the healing process, we offer

catering services to patients, ensuring access to nourishing meals during their stay at the hospital which is being headed by a qualified nutritionist.

Our commitment to providing quality healthcare is underscored by our team of dedicated healthcare professionals, including medical doctors, clinical officers, nurses, midwives, laboratory technicians, a dentist, physiotherapy and support staff. We adhere to national healthcare standards and continuously seek opportunities for improvement to serve our community better.

Primary Healthcare Services: Our hospital is committed to delivering essential primary

healthcare services, encompassing general medical consultations, preventive care, and health

education to promote overall community well-being.

In-Patient Services: Our hospital offers comprehensive in-patient services. We have female

wards, male wards, paediatric wards, and maternity wards providing care and accommodation for

patients requiring extended medical attention. Our well-equipped facilities ensure a comfortable

and healing environment for all in-patients.

Maternal and Child Health: We offer maternal and child health services, including

antenatal, perinatal, and postnatal care, immunizations, and a dedicated mothers’ waiting room

to ensure a comfortable and supportive environment for expectant mothers.

HIV/AIDS Care and Treatment: Pemba Mini Hospital actively participates in the national efforts

to combat HIV/AIDS. We provide testing, counselling, antiretroviral therapy (ART), and support

services to individuals living with HIV, contributing to the national goal of achieving an AIDS-free

generation.

Surgical Services: Our hospital is equipped to provide basic surgical procedures, including minor

surgeries and obstetric interventions. We collaborate with regional referral centres for more

complex surgical cases.

Laboratory and Diagnostic Services: Our well-equipped laboratory facilitates accurate and timely

diagnostic services. This includes routine blood tests, imaging services such as ultrasound, and

essential diagnostic procedures.
