Pemba Town Council Secretary, Mr. Samuel Chilombo, today officially presented the 2025 budget for Pemba Town Council during the National Budget Hearing held at the Urban Bliss Hotel in Kabwe.
In his presentation, Mr. Chilombo outlined strategic plans aimed at boosting the council’s revenue base, detailing key programs and services to be implemented in 2025.
He emphasized the importance of enhancing local development initiatives and ensuring the efficient delivery of public services.
The Council Secretary also elaborated on the administration and utilization of key government funding streams, including the Constituency Development Fund (CDF), Cash-for-Work Program, and the Equalization Fund.
The 2025 budget for Pemba Town Council is set at K86,324,965.00, marking an increase of 29 percent compared to the K60,928,938.00 allocated in 2024 to scale up infrastructure development, improving service delivery, and addressing critical community needs.
