PEMBA TOWN COUNCIL PARTICIPATES IN 2025 LOCAL AUTHORITY BUDGET HEARING

Pemba Town Council is attending the 2025 National Budget Hearing for Local Authorities, which is being held from Monday, 9th December to Friday, 13th December 2024, at the Urban Bliss Hotel in Kabwe.
The aim of the hearing is for councils nationwide to review and align their budgets for the forthcoming fiscal year.
In addition, the Ministry of Local Government and Rural Development is using this forum to collect submissions on the Local Government Act No. 2 of 2019, currently under review, and to discuss the rollout of the Constituency Development Fund (CDF) Communications Strategy.
The Council’s delegation, led by the Council Secretary Mr. Samuel Chilombo includes directors and officers from the Finance department, Planning department,Human Resource and Administration department, Procurement, and Public Relations units, alongside representatives from devolved government departments.
Pemba Town Council’s participation highlights its dedication to budget planning and governance, ensuring its operations align with national development priorities while enhancing service delivery to the residents of Pemba.
