On Tuesday, 20th November, 2024, Pemba Town Council welcomed officials from Indo Zambia Bank who are planning to establish the first bank in the district.
Pemba Town Council Chairperson, Mr. Kingstone Handiindo, led the team from the council as they facilitated the visit.
As part of the engagement, engineers from the bank assessed the building within the bus station, which was specifically constructed to accommodate such developments.
The officials expressed satisfaction with the facility, noting its suitability for their operations.
This landmark will bring relief to residents who have been travelling to Choma and Monze districts to access banking facilities.
